Dr. Seuss Week
Science: Can the Grinch’s heart grow? Ms. Patricia is doing an awesome science experiment. She will be blowing up balloons to see how big the Grinch’s heart can be.
Music: Ms. Kayla came up with a rhyming song to Wacky Wednesday! The kids will be repeating it while singing!
Large Motor: Hop on Pop is one of Dr. Seuss’s most well-known books. This week with Ms. Lily, the kids will be hopping on bubble wrap, doing a balloon toss incorporated with Cat and the Hat, and racing with green eggs on a spoon.
Cooking: No one likes green eggs and ham! But everyone loves a delicious strawberry and banana treat. This week with Ms. Emily the kids will be making a strawberry and banana treat inspired by Cat and the Hat!
Math: One fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish! How many fish is that? The kids will be sorting and counting all the fish in Dr. Seuss’s acclaimed book, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.
Social Emotional: Wow! The Cat in the Hat hats in so big! It can be filled with anything. This week, in Ms. Makayla’s activity, the kids will be pulling out questions targeting the kid’s emotions.
Small Motor: “We looked, then we saw him step in on the mat! We looked! And we saw him! The Cat in the Hat!” said Dr. Seuss. In Ms. Kelly’s activity they will be looking and cutting to make a Cat in the Hat!
Literacy: In Ms. Angelica’s activity, the kids will be following Dr. Seuss’s ABC Amazing Alphabet Book! The kids will be following along while Ms. Angelica reads. The kids will be matching the letter correlated with the page.
