Science: No chalk? No problem! Ms. Britney has a fun activity experimenting with

rocks and how we can write with them just like chalk on the ground.

Music: You can make music with just about anything, even rocks! In Ms. Emily’s activity

the preschoolers will be using rocks and various containers to make different sounds.

We’re ready to rock n’ roll!

Large Motor: There’s plenty of things to do with rocks and skipping rocks sure is a favorite!

Ms. Kelly has a fun rock tossing activity using hoops and Styrofoam rocks.

Cooking: Rocks come in all different shapes and sizes! We will be making cookie where

the children get to pick how much of each ingredient they want. So, their cookies will all be

different just like rocks.

Math: Mr. Colin has tons of rocks and it’s a good thing he has super smart preschoolers

to help him sort them! All the rocks have numbers on them and each of them have a

card with the corresponding number written on it.

Social Emotional: This week Ms. Marlet has us building with rocks! Instead of building structures,

the preschoolers will be building faces. There will be rocks painted with a variety of facial

features and the students will make faces according to their emotions.

Small Motor: Having a pet is so much fun! Ms. Nicki has something even better than a puppy,

it’s a pet rock! In Ms. Nicki’s lesson the kids will be able to paint, name, and befriend their own pet.

Literacy: Having to trace anything you need some sort of utensil, how about using a rock!

Ms. Haley will be showing the kids to trace and sound out letters with using a rock.
