Week 6 Pets
Science: There are so many different kinds of animals and all types of pets! In Ms. Brianna’s activity the kids will be learning about how many different animals there are, and all of their habitats!
Music: Wow a dog’s bark is so loud! With Ms. Patricia the kids will be singing animals songs and repeating what the pet’s sounds are.
Large Motor: Have you ever seen dice with animals on it? Ms. Stacy will have the kids roll the large dice and then the kids get to act out the animal movements.
Cooking: It’s yummy and it’s not just for puppies! In Ms. Rylee‘s activity, the kids will be making a delicious snack called “puppy chow” using cereal bits, chocolate, and peanut butter.
Math: Pets come with all different shapes and patterns on them. Ms. Jen has cards with numbers on them and the kids will match the number of spots, stripes, and feathers to the animal with the corresponding amount.
Social Emotional: Snakes make me scared, but dogs make me happy! In Ms. Angelica’s lesson the kids will be sharing how each of the animals makes them feel.
Small Motor: Dogs are many kid’s favorite animal, but sometimes our parents won’t let us have them. So, in Ms. Julia’s lesson, the kids will be making a dog puppet while learning how to walk and feed them!
Literacy: Is cat is spelled with a K or a C? In Ms. Amanda’s activity, the kids will be playing bingo to practice identifying beginning letters.
