Week 12 Forest
Math:
Did you know that there are over 400 billion leaves in this world? Since it’s forest week in preschool the preschoolers are going to examine a variety of different leaf patterns with Ms. Ruth!
Large Motor:
Ms. Maria will take the preschoolers on a scavenger hunt by turning the Conant hallway into a forest! The children will run, hop, and crawl to find everything you would see in a forest!
Small Motor:
There are many different items that can be found lying on the ground in the forest. One of the most common items is a pinecone! With Ms. Bella the children will get to paint using their very own pinecone!
Literacy:
By learning all about the different objects in a forest, the preschoolers will match forest words and pictures in a fun game of Bingo with Ms. Lina and Ms. Elizabeth!
Science:
Forests are known for their large amount of trees, but did you know that some trees in a forest can grow up to 115 feet tall? With Ms. Kaylee and Ms. Marlena, the preschoolers will get to make their own dirt cups where a they could grow a 115-foot-tall tree from!
Music:
The preschoolers will be going on a bear hunt and they’ll take their binoculars, and they won’t be scared! With Ms.Sher the children will going through tall grass, a river, mud, and a cave to find the bear!
